Egg Topped White Cheddar Burger
Double your protein with this Egg-Topped White Cheddar Burger. It’s so flavorful you only need salt and pepper to season it. Over-medium eggs combine with slowly melting cheddar and a juicy burger to create a truly mouthwatering meal.

- 1 pound Signature Farms® ground beef
- 1 pinch kosher salt
- 1 pinch fresh ground black pepper
- 1 yellow onion (thinly-sliced)
- 4 tablespoons Signature SELECT® extra virgin olive oil (2 tablespoons for onions, 2 tablespoons for eggs)
- 4 tablespoons Signature SELECT® mayonnaise
- 4 slices white cheddar cheese
- 4 whole eggs
- 4 whole wheat hamburger buns
- 4 romaine lettuce leaves
- non-stick cooking spray
In a large bowl, combine beef and seasonings. Mix well and form into four equal size patties.
Heat a large skillet to medium-high. Add olive oil and onions, stirring frequently. Cook onions until caramelized, about 8-10 minutes. Set aside and cover to keep warm.
Heat grill to medium-high, and spray with non-stick spray. Add burgers, cover and allow to cook 4 minutes per side, or until internal temperature of 165° is reached.
Top burger with cheese, cover grill and cook for an additional minute, or until cheese is melted. Remove from grill and cover with foil to keep warm.
Toast buns on grill for 25-30 seconds per side, if desired.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Crack eggs into pan and cover. Cook until egg whites are solid and yolk is still slightly runny, about 5 minutes.
