Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound Signature Farms® ground beef
  • 1 pinch kosher salt
  • 1 pinch fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 yellow onion (thinly-sliced)
  • 4 tablespoons Signature SELECT® extra virgin olive oil (2 tablespoons for onions, 2 tablespoons for eggs)
  • 4 tablespoons Signature SELECT® mayonnaise
  • 4 slices white cheddar cheese
  • 4 whole eggs
  • 4 whole wheat hamburger buns
  • 4 romaine lettuce leaves
  • non-stick cooking spray

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine beef and seasonings. Mix well and form into four equal size patties.

Step 2

Heat a large skillet to medium-high. Add olive oil and onions, stirring frequently. Cook onions until caramelized, about 8-10 minutes. Set aside and cover to keep warm.

Step 3

Heat grill to medium-high, and spray with non-stick spray. Add burgers, cover and allow to cook 4 minutes per side, or until internal temperature of 165° is reached.

Step 4

Top burger with cheese, cover grill and cook for an additional minute, or until cheese is melted. Remove from grill and cover with foil to keep warm.

Step 5

Toast buns on grill for 25-30 seconds per side, if desired.

Step 6

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Crack eggs into pan and cover. Cook until egg whites are solid and yolk is still slightly runny, about 5 minutes.
