Trains at Northpark
The Trains at NorthPark will be held November 21, 2009 - January 3, 2010. Monday-Saturday: 10 a.m.-9 p.m., Sunday: Noon-6 p.m at the NorthPark Center (between Dillard's and Macy's). Discount tickets available at all Tom Thumb stores for $1 off ticket prices. All proceeds benefit Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, a home-away-from-home for families of seriously ill or injured children.
Santa's Helpers
WFAA-TV Santa's Helpers 2009 WFAA's Santa's Helpers is celebrating its 40th year of collecting holiday toys for children throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth counties of Dallas, Tarrant, Collin and Denton. The 2009 Toy Drive is November 27 through December 17, 2009. This year, Santa's Helpers will host 5 drive-thru events including:
Cedar Hill - Uptown Village at Cedar Hill - Thursday, December 3 from 5-10 p.m.
Frisco - Frisco Central Fire Station and Safety Town - Monday, December 7 from 5-10 p.m.
Southlake - Southlake Town Square - Thursday, December 10 from 5-10 p.m.
Fort Worth - Will Rogers Memorial Center - Tuesday, December 15 from 5-10 p.m.
Dallas -in front of WFAA studio at Victory Plaza near the American Airlines Center - Thursday, December 17 from 5-10 p.m. Over 35 community service organizations throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area (Dallas, Tarrant, Collin and Denton counties) are approved to distribute toys to needy children, age infant through teen.
Texas Stampede
The TX Stampede will be November 13-14 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas Texas. Celebrating nine years of cowboys, concerts and kids, Texas Stampede has contributed close to $3 million to Children’s Medical Center in support of young North Texans in need of medical care and attention. Special family sections tickets are available.
