About the Program
Tom Thumb believes in working together with our customers to support programs that improve the quality of life in the communities we serve. We are committed to assisting non-profit organizations that are important to our customers and their families.
Tom Thumb offers our customers a way to direct our donation dollars to their favorite church, school or other non-profit organization. Since the program began in the fall of 1996, Tom Thumb/Randalls has donated nearly $48 million to over 8000 participating organizations. Through our Good Neighbor Program, organizations sign up to have an exclusive account number. Members of an organization can then link the account number to their Rewards card. You can link your favorite participating charity to your Rewards card by completing a Good Neighbor Charity Addition/Deletion Form. You will find the guidelines for organizations participating in the Good Neighbor Program outlined below. The more people who link their card to the organization's account number, the more money the organization will raise. For artwork to use in newsletters or Web sites, please see below.
Thank you for partnering with Tom Thumb in helping the organizations that make our communities such wonderful places to live.
We Make It Easy for Organizations to Raise Funds
Tom Thumb makes it easy for any church, school, or non-profit organization to raise funds with no selling, no paperwork, and no up-front investment with our Good Neighbor Program.
If your organization is seeking a donation or sponsorship from Tom Thumb, this is the program for you! Our Good Neighbor Program allows us to support a great number of community endeavors. In fact, we make the majority of our contribution with this program.
The majority of our customers use the Reward card each time they shop because of the many benefits the card offers. Customers save money, and enter contests while supporting their favorite organizations. At Tom Thumb, your Good Neighbor Program account number is linked to your supporters' cards so your organization will accumulate funds quickly and easily.
Here's how it works: Your organization fills out an application, found in the Good Neighbor Program brochure available at our stores. Once your organization's application has been approved, it will be assigned an exclusive account number. That number must be communicated by your organization to the supporters of your group, who can then link your account number to their Reward Card. Your supporters will simply fill out the Good Neighbor program section and the top part of a Reward Card Application, indicating your organization's number and return it to the Courtesy Booth. That's it! Your organization is now linked to those cards. From that point on, the purchase price of groceries will automatically be recorded to your organization's Good Neighbor account. We keep a running total of your account, and a check for 1% of the total is sent directly to your organization each quarter.
We will pay 1% of your members' total grocery purchases to your fund-raising organization, as long as the cardholders are in good standing with Tom Thumb. The amount of the check depends on the amount of your supporters' total purchases.
There are three sections of artwork that you may use: the graphics, some text, and the wallet card. Feel free to use any or all of this artwork to enhance your publicity efforts. Once you have saved the image, you may select it, copy it, and paste it onto your document or web site.
