Keep refrigerated. Place the corned beef brisket in a 5-quart pan or dutch oven. Simmer meat and spices in enough water to cover product for about 1 hour per pound. Cook until internal temperature reaches 180 degrees F. Use a meat thermometer placed in the center of the corned beef to properly check internal temperature. Serve with your favorite vegetables and mustard horseradish. For the best flavor, spices and juices in the package should be included when cooking the product.
