Directions Stove Top Instructions: In a saucepan with tight fitting lid, bring 2-1/2 cups (20 oz) of water to a boil. Add 2 tablespoons butter or margarine (optional), then one package Vigo White & Wild Rice, stirring while boiling for 1 minute. Tightly cover saucepan, reduced heat to simmer, cook for 20-25 minutes. Serve. As a Stuffing: Delicious in chicken, cornish game hens or any other wild fowl or pork chops. Cook as above and stuff, or add any of the following to cooked rice: one beaten egg with cooked, chopped giblets, chestnuts, slivered almonds, mushrooms, raisins or sausage meat. As a Side Dish: A gourmet's accompaniment to any meat or fowl. Add cooked sausage meat, mushrooms or raisins at the same time rice is added to boiling water or, top cooked rice with slivered almonds or chestnuts.
