Directions Wash hands before making Cookie Brittle. You will need: 1 Stick (1/2 Cup) Butter, Softened (To soften butter, let stand at room temperature for 45-60 minutes, or microwave for 10-15 seconds until softened) (Not melted). 1. Heat oven to 375 degrees F or 350 degrees F for nonstick pan. 2. Stir Cookie Brittle Mix and butter until dough forms. (Dough may be stiff and need to be blended with hands.) Press cookie brittle dough into 11 x 12-inch rectangle (about 1/8-inch thick) on ungreased cookie sheet. 3. Bake 10 to 13 minutes or until surface is golden brown. Cool completely on pan (about 30 minutes). Remove brittle from pan; break into pieces. Store in an air tight container. High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): No change.
