Directions Fresh Hints: When shucking clams, the shells are easier to open if you freeze them for 15 to 20 minutes prior to opening. Remove from freezer and let stand for a few minutes prior to shucking. As the clams warm up, the muscles will relax and the shells will open slightly so the clam knife will slip in. Shuck over a bowl to save the clam liquor. Hand wash recommended.
