Directions You Will Also Need: 1/2 lb sliced, fresh mushrooms (any variety); 2 tablespoons butter or margarine; 6 cups chicken broth; freshly ground black pepper. Optional: 1/2 lb ground beef (chuck or round). Here's What You Do: In a 3 or 4-quart pot, gently saute mushrooms (and ground beef if using) in butter over medium heat for 5 minutes. Stir in mushroom soup mix. Add broth, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 20 minutes. Add pepper to taste and serve!
